Jazz

Dance therapy uses movement and dance to foster growth and self-worth while supporting the student’s current abilities. Dance therapy strengthens and increases the student’s movement repertoire, promotes healthy movement patterns, reduces tension and provides new ways of perceiving one’s self and the environment. It is effective with individuals and groups, verbal and non-verbal, and across a variety of diagnoses. Dance is available as either a group or private activity. Group classes are offered for a minimum of three students. We invite you to create your own group.

JazzCreative Movement introduces students to cross-cultural movement patterns and rhythms. Students will explore movement with the help of props, such as yarn balls, scarves, bells, and bubbles. The emphasis is on developing self-esteem, confidence and, of course, having fun! Groups will be offered for a minimum
of three students.
